Scientists have discovered many genetic variants linked to increased risk of mental health disorders like schizophrenia. But to find new treatments for these conditions, we need to first understand what these variants are doing in human cells.

Ralda Nehme, Director of the Stanley Center Stem Cell Program, explains how her team is using a large-scale resource of donated stem cells to study the biological function of these variants—while sharing the results with the global research community to help bridge the gap between genetics and benefits for patients.
