Lowell R Badger, 85, lifelong resident of Sullivan County was found shot to death on his bedroom floor on Saturday, December 8th, 2012. No one has been convicted of the crime. His home had been burglarized - 2 items taken. A Tv and a small safe. Originally Police were getting tips in the first few days and months after the murder but now the case has drawn cold. WHO KILLED AN ELDERLY MAN IN HIS HOME FOR A TV AND A SAFE? He lived alone. I don't believe this was a random act, I believe this was a targeted act. Someone who knew Lowell or his family and that someone knew where that safe was and what may be in it. Law enforcement has never released information on the contents that may have been in the safe. Police did search ponds and lakes around Sullivan county - most likely looking for contents of that safe. This is my assumption.
