In this video, I take you through the process of creating two very different looks from one textured background using texture paste, metallic watercolors, and a fun experiment with a gel plate! Whether you prefer the regal look of purple and gold or the cool, shimmering vibe of purple and silver, theres a technique here for everyone.
I’ll show you how I used a crackly stencil and Liquitex modeling paste to build texture, then brought it to life with Distress Oxides and a custom pearl shimmer spray. Plus, join me for a little experiment as I try using a gel plate to apply embossing ink—its all about playing with your supplies to see what works!
In this video, you’ll learn:
* How to build dimension with texture paste and stencils.
* Tips for blending Distress Oxides over textured surfaces.
* Two different ways to apply embossing ink for unique metallic effects.
* How to use vellum to make die-cuts pop against busy backgrounds.
