In 1986 my standup act included a parody I had written to Gilbert O'Sullivan's plaintive 1972 ballad "Alone Again, Naturally". My version was a plea for Sylvester Stallone to stop making "Rocky" sequels. While in Baltimore for a weekend comedy club gig, I met some producers from Maryland Public TV who invited me to fly back into town and record the song as a music video. I wound up returning for several appearance on their comedy sketch show, "Crabs". I must say the production, personnel, scenery, and props were top notch and rivaled anything you'd see on "Saturday Night Live". I've recreated the video here from my original music/vocal track (the recording Dr. Demento used to play on his syndicated radio show) and some video outtakes. Remember -- this is long before the internet or commercial karaoke tracks. The guitar player you hear is Long Island, New York musician Jim Tepe, who also engineered my vocal and music mix.
