On May 5th around 6:30pm, detectives were able to locate the stabbing suspect from the April 26th incident that occurred at the La Perla Del Mar Mexican Restaurant off Steele St. S. The suspect had barricaded himself inside a home in the 2500 block of 341st St Ct S, Roy WA. SWAT was called out to handle the scene, and after about an hour of negotiations, the suspect came out of the home peacefully. The 27-year-old male was booked into the Pierce County Jail for assault in the 1st degree.

On April 26th, around 7:00pm, multiple callers reported a male had been stabbed in the parking lot of the La Perla Del Mar Mexican Restaurant off Steele St. S. When deputies arrived, they located a 38-year-old male with multiple stab wounds, and the suspect had fled the scene. Deputies administered aid until Fire arrived. The male remains in critical condition. There are no suspects in custody at this time, and this is an active investigation.
