St. Yuma is the songwriting moniker of Stevan Alva, emerging from Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Announcing his signing to Full Time Hobby - joining a roster including Sylvie, Michael Nau and Timber Timbre - he shares the dreamlike new single ‘Alone the Walrus’.

Blending folk, lounge, and experimental pop, ‘Alone the Walrus’ follows a walrus named Alone, inspired by Worried Walrus, written and illustrated by Richard Hefter and published in 1977.

Alone looks out at the ocean and ponders his purpose. He sees his reflection: “I never really noticed, you’re blue all the time. I never really noticed, it was in your mind.” Though surrounded by clouds of doubt and melancholy, he refuses to surrender hope. His journey is one of quiet acceptance - the belief that even the loneliest tides can still carry you somewhere beautiful.
