St Dragon by Storm for C64, played from tape
I had somewhat high hopes for this one, since I actually love the arcade machine, and honestly, it's an okay conversion - but it wasn't as good as I expected, in particular, because of the limits of how long the tail could be, the game doesn't really work in the same way it does in the arcade (the gimmick there is that you can wrap your tail around yourself as a shield, essentially). Without that, it's a mostly mediocre shooter... like it's fine, I didn't hate myself playing it or anything, but it's just, you know.... fine.
Also for some reason, the second level took two attempts to load... so that's weird... still, that's tape life for you! The loader is generally really well done, though, in particular I like how it tells you what the hell is going on!
