In Ireland, the 1st of February marks the beginning of spring and the celebration of Lá Fhéile Bríde, St Brigid’s Day.
Lá Fhéile Bríde celebrates the arrival of longer, warmer days, and an emergence from the darkness of winter.
This St Brigid’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable contribution Irish women have made – and continue to make - across the world.
Irish Embassies and Consulates, in partnership with local communities, will mark the day through a broad programme of events to honour the impact of trail-blazing women across our diaspora, in Ireland and around the world.

Cuireann Lá fhéile Bríde tús le séasúr an Earraigh in Éirinn, agus fágaimid slán le dorchadas an Gheimhridh.
Ar Lá Fhéile Bríde, Tagaimid le chéile le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar ghaiscí na mban in Éirinn agus ar fud na cruinne.
Déanfaidh Ambasáidí agus Consalachtaí Éireannacha ceiliúradh ar an lá, in éineacht le grúpaí áitiúla, ar thionchar na mban ceannródaíocha seo sa bhaile agus i gcéin.
