SSPX priests told Kurt's wife to take the money from his recent court settlement and their 9 children and leave him to move to another SSPX community. She did so. Kurt gave up everything to move cross country to reunite with her, but the SSPX relocated the family and influenced Kurt's employer to lay him off.
The interview later describes how they convinced Kurt's wife to divorce him. She did so, but refused to accept the annulment (which Kurt received in 41 days because of lack of valid form). Only 3 of his children still practice the faith today, and he is forced to share joint custody of his youngest son with his wife.
