Here's the short version: the clubface squares itself when your body is in the right position. Get your setup, your body tilt (side bend), and your hand-to- clubface relationship right, and as you rotate, the face has only one place to go square. Todd demonstrates it plainly: from the correct position, "I cannot not square the face." So you stop trying to time your hands and instead match a proven model Moe Norman and simply hit your positions. The clubface is just the litmus test of what your body is doing.
