In this tutorial we will demonstrate the process of rigging in 3DSMAX and importing a new weapon into the editor.

0:22 - Checking its scale is correct using the Measure Tool.
0:34 - Resetting the mesh's pivot so its X-Forward, at origin. Also resetting its scale to 100%.
1:00 - Make sure you have all the bones you need for the rig. The Max Bone tool or Helper Objects work best. A 'WeaponRoot' bone is needed as the parent to all of the weapon's bones.
1:41 - Starting the Rigging Process, applying the Skin Modifier to the mesh.
2:10 - Weights Tools Panel
2:54 - Exporting to FBX
3:15 - Export Settings
3:36 - Importing into the Editor
4:17 - Testing by creating a child Blueprint of an existing weapon's Blueprint, swapping the meshes out.
4:38 - Override Default Weapon Class to test
