"Uh-oh. Here we go again!" - Spyro
So if some of you have seen some of my older videos you might know that I did a Medley of Spyro the Dragon, and I was never Satisfied with it. And looking back at it now it not as bad as I remember, but at any rate it was time of an update.
So lets talks about a Spyro the Dragon and it's soundtrack. To be honesty, the soundtrack was not the thing that I loved about this game; I loved it more for it's sense of humor and awesome level design. But that doesn't mean that the soundtrack for the game is. I watched an interview with Stewart Copeland, about this game, and he said that he played through each level before writing music of the level, because he wanted to each song to perfectly suited to the level. And that's great because it works great in it's own right, but for doing a cover it makes things a bit tricky, because my arrangement which diverge from the atmosphere of the song (this is why there only four songs in this medley, a bit short I know).
But does that mean that this soundtrack isn't that good, certainly not. Because I do really like this soundtrack because of how much ths soundtrack looks and feels like the game, when ever you hear the music you instantly think of the game, and whenever you see the game you instantly think of the music. So in that respect, that works really well for the game and it's soundtrack.
But even then I don't think it excuses the fact of how short this medley is, so I might do a part two to this medley at some point.
