This is a cover of a Kate Bush song by the same name off the 1985 LP, Hounds of Love.
ORIGINAL MUSIC VIDEO: youtube.com/watch?v=wp43OdtAAkM
It's a very controversial, and often misunderstood song, but essentially, it's about the desire to swap bodies with your partner to experience sex as the other gender.
This song has been covered by dozens of artists, but I've always wanted to do a version of my own, because I've never heard an interpretation of it that was as delicate and intimate, and vulnerable as the one in my head.
While this isn't the usual subject matter for my music, as a genderfluid individual, "Running Up That Hill" has always been extremely personal to me. After a long hiatus of music production, I am excited to release this track for you now. More music coming soon. Enjoy.
Lyrics by Kate Bush
It doesn't hurt me.
Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
It's you and me.
And if I only could
Make a deal with God,
And get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder.
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts.
Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don't we?
You and me.
Won't be unhappy.
And if I only could,
Make a deal with God,
And get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that building,
You, and me,
Won't be unhappy.
"C'mon, angel, c'mon darling,
Let me steal this moment from you now.
C'mon, angel, c'mon, darling,
Let's exchange the experience.
And if I only could,
Make a deal with God,
And get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems.
And if I only could,
Make a deal with God,
I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems.
And if I only could,
I'd be running up that hill.
If I only could,
I'd be running up that hill.
If I only could,
I'd be running up that hill.
If I only could,
I'd be running up that hill.
If I only could,
I'd be running up that hill.

This song represents the whole of my philosophy.
LYRICS
Unicorns like rainbows
And bright blue sunny skies
Unicorns like tacos
And marshmallow pies
They want a world thats safe for children
To run and play outside.
Theres just one thing
That they cant abide.
Nazis! Stomp them till they die!
Nazis! Stab them in the eye!
Unicornsll murder all the Nazis that they see.
They do it all for you and for me.
Now I know what youre thinking.
Thats a bit extreme,
But sos the looming shadow
Of a fascist regime.
You give `em just one Nazi inch,
Theyll take a Nazi mile,
So lets all sing a song that makes us smile.
Nazis! Stomp them till they die!
Nazis! Stab them in the eye!
Its rare for unicorns to meddle in affairs of man,
But they murder Nazis `cause they should, `cause they can.
[Killing Nazi noises]
Its a well kept secret
That in 1945,
The allies kicked down Hitlers bunker,
Found him alive.
They deployed the secret unicorns
That Roosevelt devised.
They bit his stupid mustache
And had him crudely circumcised.
Nazis! Stomp them till they die!
Nazis! Stab them in the eye!
Unicornsll murder all the Nazis that they see.
They do it all for you and for me.
