Springfield Armory drops the new XD-E at NRA Show 2017. It's a sub-compact, single-stack, polymer-framed pistol with an external hammer. True DA/SA operation with combo manual thumb safety / decocker. Also, highly ambidextrous with thumb safety and magazine release on both sides (slide lock only on left side). In 9mm it holds 8+1 flush and 9+1 extended.
