Spring Sing, an event with over 75 years of history at UCLA, returned this year after being cancelled last year amid law enforcement’s safety concerns. The Student Alumni Association, SAA, hosted the event at the Los Angeles Tennis Center and invited student talent to compete for the votes of celebrity judges and the audience.

Starting in the summer of 2006, the former BruinNews29 television news show became Daily Bruin Video, now produced by the award-winning videojournalism department of the Daily Bruin newspaper. The newspaper's primary mission is to fulfill the public's right to know about activities or events of community interest. As a student-managed and edited newspaper, the Bruin promotes student involvement and responsibility by providing practical journalism experience and opportunities for students to develop and improve their journalism and business skills and prepare for media and other careers.
