At long last, I was finally able to have a personal encounter with a Spring Peeper, Pseudacris crucifer! These beautiful anurans are both loud, and elusive! Over the course of three days, with a combined 5 hour search, I was able to get up close to an incredibly charming male. Oh, what a frog! Enjoy this sign of spring with me, and learn a bit about one of the earliest risers to the new season!
