In this video, I’m sharing how to create a floral house card using my Everyday City Holiday collection from Spellbinders.
For this project, I used patterned paper for the main building to mimic the look of florals painted onto a house. I also combined soft sage, coral, and blush tones and added lots of tiny die cut flowers to build a floral scene around the house.
You’ll see how I:
– Use patterned paper for die cut structures
– Layer vellum to soften busy backgrounds
– Alternate awnings and flower boxes for balance
– Add dimension with foam adhesive
– Build a detailed floral background
This design is a fun way to experiment with color and pattern while creating a dimensional card.
