This week on Echoes of Indiana Avenue, we'll spotlight the music of Fred Monroe, an unsung Naptown saxophonist who spent more than five decades performing on the Indianapolis jazz scene.

Throughout his career, Monroe appeared at clubs and venues across the city, sharing the stage with many giants of Naptown jazz, including Larry Liggett, Mingo Jones, Earmon Hubbard, Dickie Laswell, Willis Kirk, and more.
