Rhoy of Rrudobar is a Duros singer-songwriter born and raised in the orbital alleys of Rrudobar Station, floating above the polluted skies of Duro. He came of age drifting between freighter hulls, black-market docks, and low-lit cantinas. He still performs regularly at the Event Horizon, the infamous cantina run by the Quarren fixer Clawfish, deep within the station’s understructures. There, among smugglers, slicers, and outlaw techs riding the Corellian Trade Spine, Rhoy is a fixture — the guy with the voice, the scars, and the quadjitar slung over one shoulder.
Rhoy’s music walks the galaxy with a heavy footfall — rough around the edges, but steady and clear in purpose. He doesn’t polish the sound, and he doesn’t play to make people comfortable. His lyrics are direct and dry, often delivered with a Saleucami-grown cigarra between his teeth, surrounded by a soft cloud of smoke and the rich, spicy scent of its sun-cured leaf. He plays like a man who’s already seen the worst — and isn’t impressed.
His signature track, “Spotchka and Spice,” is an anthem about the only two things that can still numb the weight of a galaxy coming apart: a glass of spotchka and something to smoke. Each verse loops back to that craving — “spotchka and spice, my good friend.” Rhoy doesn’t sing about escape. He sings about needing just enough to forget — for one night — how much the galaxy takes from you.
