I really liked Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion, I thought it was a delightful little game, but it left me wanting to have my own little spin on the soundtrack, so I decided to give it a fresh coat of paint! (or in this case, sound.) I hope you all enjoy it!

Yes that title was written by Fiona Apple. This is also a remix of a track from the game, specifically, Ringu’s chase theme: “Breakfast was too Late”. I really like the original, and I thought it could work well in a waltz-like aesthetic. I really took inspiration from the main theme of The Ring as well as Hans Zimmer’s other horror works. A lot of inspiration was also drawn from Christopher Larkin’s work (specifically the one on Hollow Knight). I really didn’t think of the “scare factor” while making this, as this theme isn’t exactly unsettling, but I just really liked what Akuma Kira did with the original and just wanted to expand on it.
