Terrible episode 12/100
Good Lord, they really have made SpongeBob just a target for beating down on Squidward, didn’t they?
Here he acts like a creepy stalker, and replicates his house to match exactly like Squidward’s house, even down to the littlest details. And Squidward is deeply disturbed throughout. Not to mention, the random creepy tone too. I mean sure SpongeBob is a creep here, but not in other episodes have I seen it like this.
Another thing that just comes out of nowhere, is at the end, when Squidward realizes he has to stay with SpongeBob, he makes a petrified look, shrinks into the void, then features like a cutaway where he has a tea party with his vacuum cleaner, creepy nursery music playing, and his eye twitching while laughing like a maniac. Again, this just comes out of nowhere. Like why did we need all these creepy things and unnerving tones?
I think there is a way to make creepy tones in episodes, but this isn’t it, chief.
