Bad episode 45/100
This is a pretty dumb special if you ask me. I can tell there was an attempt, but it falls flat on its face majorly.
@PIEGUYRULZ summed up a big issue I had: Nowhere do they explain a proper reason for why anyone wants this super highway. I mean, it shows that it goes over the Krusty Krab, leaving it in shadows, and goes right to the Chum Bucket. Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t people hate that place and chum in general?
Not helping is every townspeople are morons when you boil it down. And big shock, jellyfish decide to attack everyone including Plankton who was the one who came up with the super highway. Duh. I shouldn’t be rooting for everyone to get attacked if they’re suppose to have a change of heart about caring for Jellyfish Fields, and Plankton is also an idiot for wanting to keep the highway despite being attacked.
Granted, it’s not awful per se, but I can easily think of a better rewrite around this that, maybe, it would be at least meh.
