Seriously, what is wrong with Squidward being happy for once? He does literally nothing wrong here, yet is constantly beaten down, all thanks to SpongeBob following him to a secret club, getting him kicked out and blamed. Real friend you are😒.
Not helping is the rest of the episode just meanders around with SpongeBob and Patrick trying to initiate Squidward into their own club, before they decide to help him get back in the cephalopod lodge, only to screw up at the last second.
Again, all Squidward did was smile and be excited for a big event he was apart to see. Guess existing is too much for him to even do…
