Good afternoon, listeners. It's Brandon! Do you remember me? Three more months have passed us by, and "The Starman's Riot" was an absolute blast to work on. A special thanks goes out to all that gave it a listen. Also, you may recall that I intended on recording a video that speaks about my current life circumstances; I still have every intention, but I needed more time. I appreciate your concern, and I only ask that you are patient. Let's discuss today's upload.

Breaking Bad is a black comedy thriller centered around the adventures of Walter White, an overqualified Albuquerque high school chemistry teacher that has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Realizing that he is running out of time and poised to leave his family with mountains of debt, Walter uses his chemistry genius to produce crystal methamphetamine that is extremely high in its purity. It is an adventure that follows Walter, now coining himself as Heisenberg, into the criminal underworld; the viewer observes changes to his demeanor, mindset, and morals over the course of a year and a half. The director, Vince Gilligan, summarized this concept as "Mr. Chips transforming into Scarface".

Enter "The Legend of Heisenberg", a brief recollection of Walter's most adrenaline filled moments as Heisenberg. Walter was a pushover for a majority of his life, a mild-mannered individual that resembled a sunflower; as Heisenberg, he slowly climbed his way up the ranks of the criminal underworld and experienced thrill after thrill. These experiences empowered Walter and allowed him to live up to what he considered to be his full potential. Alongside his partner-in-crime, Jesse Pinkman, a former student of his, he would go on to become the head of an $80M meth empire that even crossed over to other continents. After five long seasons, Walter dies in a Neo-Nazi meth lab. Before he does, he undergoes a quite moment of reflection while gazing into a reaction vessel in the lab. This tribute of mine is what I feel he could have recalled in that brief moment, allowing himself to die on the winds of victory and feel accomplished.

The score used in this tribute, similarly titled "The Legend of Heisenberg", is a heartfelt composition that attempts to capture the emotions of this video, and more importantly, how Walter felt about his own adventure. It makes many musical references to the show's vast use of music; this includes the show's opening theme, DLZ's "TV On The Radio", Paul Rothman's "Scoobidoo Love", and Badfinger's "Baby Blue", all paired with my own musical flair. Immerse yourself in soul-wrenching chords, powerful guitars, energetic drums, electronic sound design, and the ring of triumphant trumpets as we break bad together. From one fan to many more...

No half measures.

If you enjoyed "The Legend of Heisenberg", please consider sharing it with a friend who might also enjoy it, and follow this account for future uploads just like this one. See you next time!

Credits time! Yoohoo!

Sampled Tracks/Credits:
- The Breaking Bad intro score, composed by Dave Porter.
- "TV On The Radio", composed by DLZ.
- "Scoobidoo Love", composed by Paul Rothman.
- "Baby Blue", composed by Badfinger.

Interesting Facts:
- The score of this tribute saw two different iterations and spanned across eighty hours of recorded work time; it is the longest I have ever worked on a single track.
- Breaking Bad is one of my favorite television shows of all time.
- Before I determined that this track would be used for a tribute, I sought to do a remaster of one "No Half Measures" by FabiXM. It was a tribute to Breaking Bad stylized to resemble MEGALOVANIA, a popular song composed by Toby Fox.
- The portion which uses DLZ's "TV On The Radio" utilizes a certain soundfont from a Nintendo DS title. Can you hear it?

Bye!
