When the clutch on my Kubota L1-18 tractor suddenly stopped working and wouldn't disengage, I suspected the clutch plate had stuck to the flywheel—something that happens when tractors sit unused. I tried freeing it the usual way by chaining it to a tree and pulling with the clutch pedal down… but no luck. So I did what had to be done: I split the tractor in half! In this video, I take you step-by-step through the entire repair process, from diagnosis to splitting the Kubota and fixing the issue properly. If you’re dealing with a stuck clutch, or just want to see what’s involved in major tractor surgery, this is the video for you.
