In this video, I show you some gameplay from one of the most under-rated racing games ever made, that is Split/Second Velocity. It's explosive, enjoyable and action packed, what more could you want in a racing game?
For those of you who've never heard about this game, it came out around 3 years ago. Split/Second is the name of the TV show where Racers go all out to try and win on race tracks like no other, around the corner there's always something waiting to destroy your car whether it be an exploding building or a crash landing plane! Courses can change throughout the race, causing you to change from one track to another in the space of an explosion. The entire game is like one big blockbuster movie, which is why it's so fun to play!
This video in particular shows me in an action packed time attack, one of the earlier races in the game. It's nothing special, just a challenging race and some gameplay of how action packed races can seem on this game. There are a variety of other game modes in the game such as races, elimination, etc... But this is purely gameplay of a time attack challenge.
I never really seemed interested in getting this game as it didn't appeal to me as a serious racing game, and that it would contain a lot of bugs, however it's the complete opposite. I've not discovered one glitch yet and it's still keeping me interested with the variety of gameplay.
The only downside in my opinion is that the cars aren't real cars, unlike Blur which came out around the same time as Split/Second. After playing both games I can comfortably say Split/Second is much more enjoyable and addictive to play in comparison to Blur. The story, gameplay and entire feel of the game is much more impressive.
So after finally picking up this game after 3 years of it being released, It's still great fun to play and is truly under-rated as an arcade racing game.
