(JUMPIN' AND SHOOTIN')
When you jump in Splatoon, the accuracy of Shooters, Blasters, and Splatlings is sharply decreased and slowly increases back to normal over the course of somewhere between half a second to a full second of time. This decrease can be seen in the four corners of the crosshair. The longer you are in the air, the longer it will take for your accuracy to get back to normal. However, simply running or swimming into the air without using the Jump button will not cause your accuracy to decrease.
As a general rule of thumb, this accuracy decrease is larger for weapons with better natural accuracy. However, the Nozzlenoses appear to have relatively high accuracy even when reduced by jumping. Chargers, Rollers, and Sloshers have no accuracy decrease as a result of jumping.
