A video I shared in my discord because we have a # cat-pics channel and couldn't help but make public xD
I'm just gonna paste what I said there because it sUMS Splat my cat up pretty good. I've had him for like, six years?
"Did I tell you how he ended up being my cat?
So you know how I have those main four cats in my Toyhouse, Splash, Shade, Ink, and Night, [based off of real cats I had at 9,] all totally feral kittens from this wild cat that always hung around.
I started feeding them under the bus she had them in, then slowly brought it closer and closer to my property until I could feed them treats and the cat food i stole from our house cat at the time djfjjggg
I kinda TAMED them but not really tamed them but I could feed them and stuff and occasionally sneak in a petting here and there"
Shade had kittens over the years but didn't manage to get her fixed because we didn't want her to lose the babies she almost always had in her when she'd start showing up again [she would disappear for months at a time.] We found homes for all of them except one cat Holly who I kept and named after Hollyleaf! Shade stayed pretty wild and would let us pet her sometimes, but coming inside for long periods was not her thing. The feral and indoor cats that roam on our property like her sister Night (our road is a common drop off site) are now fixed though.
"And one day. Shade shows up at the door with something in her mouth
My dad's like '?????' He couldn't see what it was
He opened the door and she BURST in running. He flips out because he thinks it's a catch/kill or something she caught
She runs to my room, he tries to stop her but opens the door to tell me and somehow she sneaks past him AGAIN and runs into my room
I was at my desk at the time but she comes in, hops up ON my bed, this wild cat, and puts Splat down at the foot of it, his eyes barely even open yet
And she freaking just hops off with a kitten deposited on my bed. We looked all over our property to see if he had siblings, but we never heard mews or found anyone.
So Splat just always bursts into my room when i open my door and hops up on my bed [and sits like this, purring]
I always wonder if he remembers
He used to be polite and always take the foot of my bed but now he claims my pillows and it's like, what's up with that dude.
His purrs and kneading make me unable to say no though, he's so cute."
