When the first rays of dawn illuminate and warm the coldest stone
May their light in the darkness let me know that I am not alone
Though I see my earthly body in this state of solitude
May the song in my heart know it's just an interlude
And when fear turns our minds to doubt the sun's light ever should return
May our bond from afar ignite a spark that fervently shall burn
Should we see our neighbor cast beneath the boots of those with might
May that spark light a torch to stand up for what is right
Should the shadows hide its ember or the wind diffuse its glow
May our voices sing out for that precious flame to grow
Till it roars like the fire we knew was in our spirits all along
May we fuel it together evermore by joining hearts in song
