An original folk story?
When visiting the path of Torii in Kyoto, Yoko Higuchi was inspired to create an original Japanese folk story after seeing the abundant spiderwebs that cover many of the Torii.
A man looking for his way through heaven finds himself deceived by the seductive and comforting words of the spiders that infest the path.
What will become of the man?
Tackling the images of heaven and hell, this is considered to be one of the finest short films Resistance Pictures has produced.
