Escape the tourist traps and join me at Spice Pisa Cafe, a local favorite hawker center in George Town, Penang! If you're looking for authentic Malaysian food and the best beer prices in the city, this is where you need to be.
In this video, I explore the massive variety of food stalls—from Indian snacks and curry noodles to Western favorites like fish and chips. My local friend brought me here to show me how the locals "eat, drink, and be merry" without the tourist markup.
What I tried: 🍗 Fried Chicken Legs: 4 huge pieces (equivalent to 8 wings!) for only $3.50. 🌯 Big Boy Schwarma: A delicious, filling wrap for just $2.50. 🍺 The Beer Deal: We found 4 big bottles of Tiger beer for roughly $15 ($3.75/bottle), by far the best price I’ve seen in Penang!
Spice Pisa Cafe is about a 20-minute drive from the main tourist areas, but the local prices and vibrant atmosphere make it well worth the trip.
