Sphere Magnets are weird. I would think that a magnet would align its self to the earths magnet field. I'm sure it is, but the sphere magnet does not sit on its side and point north (if I can say that) so the poles are parallel to the ground. But nope, the pole always points down. Notice the magnet spins.
