'Comeback Kids was an ambient piece I made in a hotel during a challenging period. I was bottling up a lot of emotion but wasn’t in a clubby writing headspace at all. It took months to turn it into a functioning dance music version. For the music nerds… the main riff is 3 beats, the drums loop every 4 beats, the bassline every 16 beats, and the chords every 48 beats. Having the lead in 3 makes things repeat in a weird way… it sounded “wrong” at first, but after sitting with it, I started to enjoy the hypnosis.' - Spencer Brown
