Pretty good run, though I ultimately screwed it up in a frustrating and likely avoidable manner.

Spelunky Lesson of the Day: Crush traps are reasonable to dodge in more open spaces, but trying to lure or avoid them in tight spaces can be suicidal.

2:57 - I still swear I can somehow differentiate booby trapped chests from regular ones. At the time, I legitimately thought to open that chest near the shop so I didn't have to spend one of my bombs, but I slightly doubted myself until it was too late and the trap was sprung. I really, really don't know how to explain it, but my intuition is frequently correct on which chests and skeletons are traps, so I strongly feel that some very subtle graphical quirk makes them feel "off" compared to typical and untrapped versions of the same thing. I know for a fact that this was the case with at least some of the skeletons in the original version of Spelunky (see http://spelunky.wikia.com/wiki/Skeleton/Classic), so it's possible there is also some subtle hint in this HD version as well.

4:56 - This is why randomly shooting your shotgun is not that good of an idea. Sure, you may hit some enemies offscreen, but you can also hit an innocent damsel and waste the health / favor boost that it could provide.

8:26 - Was not that smart of an idea to spend those bombs... That's generally why you should never spend more than one bomb or rope per crate, as the reward can be a net loss.

10:35 - Quite surprised I managed to escape that one. (Might have literally been the difference of a frame or two.) Would've been instant death too.

14:37 - Nice throw, and I even nailed one of the shop's lanterns as well!

16:03 - Man, two solid throws in a row (as well as that earlier good throw). Did way better with bombs trajectories than I usually do!

20:00 - A great song normally, but I think I like the ghost distorted version even better because then it comes across like a mix of an awesome spy, heist, and/or medieval theme.

20:50 - At least all that hassle paid off with a nice pack of 12 bombs. Could've been a waste, but it was a worthy gamble this time around.

33:31 - Hell of a lucky dodge. Could've easily been another example of the most frustrating death.

34:53 - It's no fun to see a sticky bomb carrying scorpion fly coming after you, especially without a good escape route. Normally doesn't happen, but it was in the way of Anubis this time.

36:10 - Got overconfident in my ability to lure it. Tight spaces are a bad place to mess with them. Shame too, as this likely could've been a run all the way to Hell or at least the City of Gold.
