Had to start the video with that Constellation view because I forgot to do it after the run I got it.
I just finished a (short) Spelunky 1 daily right before recording this.
The difference in feel made the beginning of the run to at least feel little off. Not sure how much it shows in gameplay.
After getting another 7-99 the day before. My 12th total. I think at least 7 of them are through Volcana → Tide Pool route. It's the easiest one for me, but I really miss Jungle, Temple and Duat. Have to switch it up a little even if it gives me worse chances for full win.
Also would love to get another Jungle → Temple 7-99. My only one so far had awful audio problems on the video. This was a promising start.
This was really refreshing to play this route again. Also felt so much more vulnerable without Vlad's Cape and stuff.
I actually felt scared at Olmec because I didn't remember good ways to deal with it immediately.
I thought about pausing and looking up where the bomb had to be placed (if you have paste) to do the Olmec skip. But then the sisters were there and felt like I'm not ready for all this.
A lot of it came back to me during and after.
