This is my 17th CO win total.
10 on Xbox and 7 on PC.
Failed to get to CO in the Daily because the bow fell into lava in Volcana. This run was the 2nd normal run after that.
My goal is to get a 3rd win through Volcana → Temple. But during this run I decided that if I don't have Paste or Spike Shoes by the end of Olmec. I am going to go to Tide Pool.
Because other goal that I have is to get to 7-99 with all the characters. And I still had 4 left. I'm probably going for my easiest route (this one Volcana → Tide Pool) anyway for the remaining ones after I get the Volcana → Temple win done.
So doesn't really matter which of the remaining 4 (now 3) runs is going to be the Volcana → Temple run.
Without Paste or Spike Shoes (and especially if low on bombs) Anubis in Temple 4-1 and the other 2 bosses in Duat 4-4 can be a lot riskier.
I used to avoid Climbing Gloves at all cost. Recently I've started taking them I really love having them. Especially when you get them early. And especially when you don't have Vlad's cape.
On this run I found Climbing Gloves deep into the Cosmic Ocean and made the decision to skip them this time.
The run had gone really well. I had Spring Shoes + Vlad's Cape which is super good already.
I feared getting them so late would make me occasionally forget I had them and maybe cause my death. That plus the fact that I've played with Climbing Gloves + Vlad's Cape way too little in comparison to normal cape with them. The double jump combined with them takes getting used to.
If it was earlier in the run. Even with Vlad's Cape I would have taken them. And will.
I used to play on Xbox, but the recordings kept failing.
Now I play on PC. I wanted to get at least one 7-99 win on this version too.
The game itself plays exactly the same on all platforms. It's just for the constellation and player stats to show the special win.
For all my wins I switched the character to the next one every day I played.
So I didn't really choose when each character won. I tried my best with all of them.
