In 1977, the visionary director Alberto Cavallone created his most extreme film work - the censored thriller SPELL (DOLCE MATTATOIO), aka L'UOMO, LA DONNA, LA BESTIA. Cavallone is considered to be among the most outrageous Italian film directors, and he's also considered one of the most underrated. SPELL is a surrealistic masterpiece, which depicts the desband of political ideologies in Italy late 1970s through shocking images, but also the decline of suburban life outside Rome. The musical comment was commissioned to the composer Claudio Tallino who wrote a sleazy Psychedelic OST, with funky grooves and gloomy vocal themes. We have released the full soundtrack session on cassette format, and previously on 7'' vinyl, both on limited runs.
