SpeedTree artist Sonia Piasecki gives you a quick overview of the Mesh Anchor tool in SpeedTree 8. Mesh anchors are points that specify the attachment spot on a mesh asset, which allows the user to generate meshes on top of another mesh. The most common use for this technique is for building image-based branch and leaf structures for low polygon models.
