Woah how time flies! I almost forgot about the previous 2017 one till I was digging through my old stuff again.
This time unlike the previous speedpaints, this won't have extra effects to just show pure drawing instead of being cinematic. I'll only do this for speedpaints without a story or to just show the process more easier with the menus showing and all.

-Idk they don't really have a name. It was a random character I drew way back as a place holder profile pic.

[]Self-reflection:
I really like this! I tried my best to make it feel like it takes place in a forest and is backlit by some light through the leaves and trees. I also gave it more personality with there being more movement in their posing and a better smug grin. They are also very floofy. So floofy. I feel like I'm getting more confident in my linework.
I had a few troubles with the colors since the saturation of the old ones really clashed soo I dulled them a lot. I wished I could've made it colorful like the 2017 one, but with this one I decided to stick with more of a desaturated color palette since now I kinda enjoy having a sort of dull, but vibrant color palette (idk how to explain it)
What I can improve on is when I try to add effects but it washes out the image. I tried adding color effects similar to the 2017 version, but it blurred and made the drawing not as solid. Maybe it was the layer blending modes I was trying to use?
I also need to focus more on minor details. The drawing looks great from afar, but not so much up close. I also should've added a foreground element like a branch or something going across to show more depth. I did slightly with a bit of leaves and the lines of light, but I feel it's not solid enough to push the idea of depth.
Overall, I think it's pretty good and shows how I improved a whole bunch in just 3 years! I'm excited about the next redraw in the next 3 years hopefully.
