I observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Memorial Drive and Sunset Avenue. After initiating a stop, I made contact with the driver who exhibited watery eyes and slurred speech. While the driver initially admitted to two drinks, they later confessed to consuming three beers and two shots of Jameson within a two-hour window. The suspect also disclosed two prior DWI arrests. Following a series of field sobriety tests, including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test where I observed distinct signs of impairment, the suspect was placed under arrest.

Charges:
- 39:4-50: Driving Under the Influence
- 39:4-97: Careless Driving
