It's been a while hasn't it? I'm not sure if this will be my official return to editing but it's certainly a start.
I wasn't expecting to be gone this long in the first place, but a lot of things came up in the past few months and as a result I haven't been in the best head space. Lately I've been focusing on every little thing that goes wrong instead of thinking about all the good things that happen too, especially at work. I haven't been able to destress properly because I haven't had the motivation to edit or draw because I wasn't happy with how anything was turning out. Most of all there's been this overwhelming feeling of guilt. Regardless of whether it's true or not, I feel like I've abandoned a huge part of my life here. I have meps left unfinished and I haven't talked to anyone in months. I know that rationally it's probably not as big a deal as I'm making it out to be, but the thoughts remain. And that's been my biggest struggle. It seems I'm always thinking about everything at once.
Luckily, with a lot of encouragement and support from my husband, I feel like I'm finally starting to pull myself together again. I've been making more of an effort to take care of myself and today I was able to finally sit down and make something I don't hate. Like I said before, I may not be fully back in the editing swing yet, but I want to be soon because I have so many vid ideas! My hope is that I'll have a new video for you sometime this week. I also might be looking into getting a new computer sometime in the future because it's becoming more clear that I need something with more processing power and a recent mountain dew incident has left my keyboard in less than ideal condition, which has been slowing down my editing process.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little status update! I hope everyone has been doing well in my absence and I wish you all the best in the new year. I know you're going to do amazing things.
