In this video, I test Spectrum ABS Kevlar filament, reinforced with aramid fibers. Kevlar is well known for its toughness and impact resistance, but how does it perform in 3D printing?
I printed a full set of test samples and evaluated strength, layer adhesion, impact resistance, creep behavior, and more. Does aramid fiber reinforcement actually improve ABS, or does it mainly change how it fails?
