The Hall of Advertising | Specsavers - DCM/Cineworld sponsorship (2024, UK) @HallOfAdvertising | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
Specsavers' humorous jabs at low-vision people who forgot to visit their opticians finally extend to tackling disruption in the cinema, faking out projection issues, clueless janitors and misread etiquette.
Who's to say whether the end trailer would be effective, though, as before this campaign kicked into gear, my audience for Alien: Romulus at the Leicester Square IMAX still checked their phones despite the policy trailer explicitly advising them not to. Even if it's the BFI IMAX, in which staff members kindly explain why phone checking is disruptive, people still don't know how to turn their phones off or even how to silence them, people will still chatter no matter what the mood of the scene is, and not even messages against vaping will prevent everyone from vaping. Cinema audiences, in general, still have yet to go to Specsavers.
