I was wondering what I'd do for a solo part in this orchestration. I've done one for the other games, with a tuba solo for Sonic 1 and a trombone solo for Sonic 2. I guess it's kind of a thing, at this point.
I was just trying out different instruments with the main melody and stopped once I got to violas. It sounded good, but then I tried a viola solo. And I kept it. Liked how it sounded
Didn't think I'd do a viola solo of all things, but I think it sounds good, so I'll take it
Also it gets really fast in this single version. I decided to keep it going faster like in the full orchestration, so I made it get faster and faster until the end
