This video gives a brief recap of the three autographs in the collection as of July 2020. A special autograph from a late great artist was added with the help of @swolepoke (Instagram). This wasn't something I anticipated adding, however the card seemed to have a short window of availability. After watching multiple other signature collections grow, it's easy to gain an appreciation for an illustrators insignia.
This specific Mewtwo has significant history behind it as well. It's the Black Star Promo Mewtwo that Christopher Rush illustrated. The late Christopher Rush was a force behind Magic The Gathering's beginnings through illustrating the all powerful Black Lotus (the most valuable trading card). Magic was largely the gateway game for other TCGs to follow. This card bridges the gap between two hobbies with Rush's signature.
This card is also personally fulfilling as the Mewtwo was the only promo art included in the Legendary Collection set. As many of you know this set took a number of years to complete. This is another tidbit that adds value towards collection goals.
