Saurabh Sachdeva opens up about the challenges of performing in Telugu and memorising dialogues in a language that isn’t his own.
He explains how changes to the dialogues on set made things even more difficult because the rhythm and flow of the language would change. Some words were spoken so quickly that he needed prompting during scenes and would even write down difficult words beforehand to review before the take.
The experience also made him realise that if he wants to continue working in regional cinema, he needs to learn and respect the language more deeply — something he is completely ready to do.
