If you’ve watched me for a while, you know that Spanish is the language of my heart. I started learning on my own, back when we couldn’t find many resources, and then I went to a school for 4 months. After that, I started again and stopped again — just like any other adult learner out there! I consider myself at an A1 level (maybe lower). Now I try to listen to the language whenever I have the chance, but I rarely speak it.
This year was my first time in Spain. And it was actually my first time speaking Spanish in real-life situations!
It was an incredible and super immersive experience for me. Everyone in Málaga was so kind and happy, especially when I told them I’m learning their language.
We tried to film some of my attempts, but we didn’t catch some of the awesome conversations I had with the taxi driver Ernesto, and the waitress at Sirocco Plaza Restaurant, who was so nice and patient with me.
Thank you all for making my experience in Spain the best memory of my life so far! ¡Hasta luego! Εις το επανιδείν!
