The Spanish Romance was originally written for solo guitar, and was featured in 1952 French film Jeux interdits ("Forbidden Games"). The composer is unknown, although many guitarists dating back to the 1800s have claimed to written it. Piano duet arrangement by Scott Meek, videography by Clare Yuan, and performed by The Meeks Duo.

This arrangement is dedicated to our supporter and sponsor Alistair MacKay, who listed this as one of his favorite pieces. Thank you, Alistair!
I kept the triplet figures and melody in the same part so that there can be freedom in rhythm without worrying about matching the other pianist on every beat. This resulted in some unconventional hand-crossings!
