A very punky piece of Spalted Beech which did cause a few issues.

I had to soak this with Shellac to stiffen up the fibres. Power sanding and then some Yorkshire Grit did not bring up a very nice finished surface. So I then hand sanded it back through the grits and gave it a Danish Oil finish.

Over the course of a week this received around 10 coats of Oil to get the finished piece.
