We caught up with Shannon and Paul from our Remaking Beamish project team to show us how work was going on reconstructing Spain's Field Farm! The farm, which is part of our Remaking Beamish project, was deconstructed stone by stone from Eastgate, near Stanhope, and over the last few years has been rebuilt at the museum. Work has now moved to the lime plastering inside. All being well the farm is due to open later this year and will tell the story of upland farming in the North East during the 1950s.

Thanks to the money raised by National Lottery players, the Remaking Beamish project has been awarded a £10.9million grant by the National Lottery Heritage Fund – a major milestone in Beamish’s history and the largest single investment ever seen at the museum.
